Doggie Date Night Ideas
Febraury 3rd, 2021 is Doggie Date Night! Make sure you take your pooch out for a night of fun and adventure!
Here are some fun ideas to share the night with your furry best friend:
Go on a sniffing adventure! Take your pet for a walk in a new area and let them smell ALL the smells. Dogs have incredible sniffers that possess up to 300 million olfactory receptors in their noses, compared to about six million in us. And the part of a dog's brain that is devoted to analyzing smells is about 40 times greater than ours!
Go to your local pet store and get a new outfit! A new well-fit collar or harness is a great gift to give any of your pet’s to ensure they are safe while on walks and to ensure they have their identification attached to them at all times! Even if they don’t need a new collar or harness there’s still plenty of toys and treats to spoil them!
Schedule a play date! Dogs love to socialize just like people do. While you are your dog’s favorite person to play with, there is nothing quite like running and playing with your own species! You can meet up with a friend or reach out to your local outdoorsy group and see if anyone would like to join. When meeting new animals please ensure you introduce your pet’s slowly and safely.
Get your pet groomed! Groomer’s love to pamper your pet’s and do a fantastic job doing so! Contact your local groomer’s to get your pup a nice bath and brushing!
